The criminal and corrupt actions of Louisiana politicians have shamed us in the eyes of the nation. Scott Simon is determined to make ethics reform a top priority. He will crackdown on corrupt politicians and require full financial disclosure of any conflicts of interest. Then, Scott Simon will make sure those laws are enforced, with a zero tolerance policy and harsh criminal penalties for elected officials who violate the public trust.
REFORM OUR INSURANCE INDUSTRY
Homeowners are struggling to deal with massive insurance rate hikes or selective cancellation of their policy after years of paying premiums. Insurance companies continue to hide behind technicalities to avoid paying legitimate claims. Scott Simon will work to pass laws that reform our insurance industry and make insurance more available and more affordable for everyone.
DANGEROUS ROADS AND TRAFFIC CONGESTION
Since Hurricane Katrina, our area has experienced a massive population increase. Our streets and highways are dangerously overcrowded and in poor condition from overuse. Scott Simon has a plan to make sure the tax dollars we send to Baton Rouge come back to our community where they are needed to improve road and traffic conditions.
